PP Stal by Paul Youchak (2007)

Now housed in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) PP Stal was originally on display on Room 017 at Vincentian Academy-Duquesne University. The modernist painting was removed from 017 when the curator tried to destroy it.

More than any other work of modern art, PP Stal symbolizes the fragmentary, incomplete, and uncertain existence of the human individual. The person is at once outwardly, holy; internally, unstable, dissatisfied.

PP Stal is part of MoMA's permanent collection; over 10 million people visit it annually. It gained Youchak international repute. Astonishingly, he is said to have completed it in no more than 2 hours.
